Gold, blushing sky, sun setting down
Stars fading in, away from town
Let's lie down the hills among the clovers
As summer puts on its evening gown
Words, left untold, waves unfolding
A splash of night, friends and kins
Do you ever get the feeling that
The sun is crawling right under your skin ?
We've got it all made out
Heavy weather in the twilight
Rascals on the holdout
Better sorry than alright
Shouts, crazy dreams, resounding on the sea
Open your eyes, run with me
The moon is casting just enough light to
Wander by the shadow of the trees
Dawn, eye to eye, and tears to tears
Our nights for days, and cheers for fears
It takes some time for eyes that meet the dark
to recognize the shapes that might appear
We've got it all made out
Heavy weather in the twilight
Rascals on the holdout
Better sorry than alright
We've got it all made out
Heavy weather in the twilight
Rascals on the holdout
Better sorry than alright
we leave the city lights for some distant ones
to our side, the blurring vision of a beat-up van
as the buildings go by to catch a fleeing reflection
of lost ones, love, loud laughs and hopeless action.
Somewhere outside in the open south
Dog days season and overt laughs,
where the landlord is gone and the vines are divine
late night drive and cherry wine
A Landscape in setting
To our side, always evolving
the moving hills and tranquil both bathe our mind with a simple revelation.
That they’ll never stop us from choosing life over reason
We’re going back to the good life,
they say that we’re not old enough to know what is wrong but feels right.
That we should put mind over body, and that nobody’s free.
But where patience is a vertue, freedom is a fight.
It’s like a long way home, the reckless youth syndrome.
To think that the night heals all wounds like a discreet magician.
And to lose our voices, and our lungs.
Like an ode to the things we like the most.
Our sould out sunset on a ride to the coast.
